This belief was beautifully realized when we had the honor of providing live string music for Emil and Halie’s wedding on November 22nd, 2020 — a heartfelt celebration that highlighted the strength of love and community.
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
Emil and Halie’s story is nothing short of serendipitous. Their paths first crossed at a local cancer hospital, where both were seeking treatment for their respective health challenges. Although Emil intended to introduce himself that day, fate had other plans, leading them to match on a dating app that very evening. Their connection was immediate, and just six months later, Emil proposed. Despite the hardships posed by Emil’s battle with sickle cell anemia—a condition causing severe pain and requiring frequent medical interventions—their bond only grew stronger.
When we learned about their journey and their wish for a beautiful wedding amidst these challenges, we were deeply moved. Collaborating with Wish Upon a Wedding, an organization dedicated to granting weddings and vow renewals for couples facing serious illness or life-altering circumstances, we eagerly offered our services to add a touch of elegance and emotion to their special day.
WISHES GRANTED
The ceremony took place at the picturesque Swan Lake Stables, providing a serene backdrop for the couple’s vows. As Emil and Halie exchanged their promises, our strings resonated through the air, underscoring the profound emotions of the moment. From classical pieces to contemporary melodies, our repertoire was carefully selected to reflect the couple’s unique story and the joy of the occasion.
